Playoff Coaches Meeting Announcement

As the 2009-2010 Islandwide regular season begins to wrap up, it means that the playoffs are right around the corner. To prepare everyone, Skate Safe will be hosting an Islandwide Coaches meeting on Thursday, March 11th at 7pm. Topics of discussion will include playoff structure, proposed schedule, player eligability, and the Spring League. All teams should have a representative at this meeting and league directors will be reminding everyone during the weekend of March 5-7th.

January Players of the Month Announced
RBK honors Islandwide's best

Islandwide is pleased to announce its Players of the Month for January 2010. Two players will receive RBK skates and two will receive RBK sticks.

The Junior Varsity players of the month are Joey Wolfer of Massapequa and Chris Russolello of Half Hollow Hills White. The Varsity players of the month are Sean Brolly of Seaford and Matthew Melnyk of POB JFK.

All schedules have been completed through the end of the regular season

The Islandwide Varsity and JV schedules have been completed and released. Skate Safe did its very best to honor all the requests and to finish the regular season before the Spring break. We plan to begin the playoffs as soon as the break is over.
